I recently visited Comfort Café and tried their Lone Star breakfast and Brown Sugar Pecan Pancakes, and I was absolutely blown away. The Lone Star breakfast was hearty and delicious, with perfectly cooked eggs, and crispy bacon. The potatoes were golden and crispy, just the way I like them. however, the Brown Sugar Pecan Pancakes were light, fluffy, and packed with flavor. The pecans added a lovely crunch, and the brown sugar gave a delightful sweetness that made every bite heavenly. Paired with their rich and smooth coffee, it was the perfect breakfast experience. The staff at Comfort Café were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure that my meal was perfect from start to finish. The cozy atmosphere added to the overall wonderful experience. I highly recommend Comfort Café for anyone looking for a delicious and satisfying meal. The Lone Star breakfast and Brown Sugar Pecan Pancakes are must-tries!

We came to this cafe for brunch, and I have nothing but great things to say about it. The food was absolutely delicious. While there were long wait times (we visited on a holiday weekend), it's understandable given how popular this place is, with every seat staying full. (You can always check in and come back when a table is open. They text you with updates) One of the most remarkable things is that there are no set prices for the meals. You're encouraged to pay $15 per meal, but they appreciate whatever you can afford. Our waiter shared his testimony with us, explaining how this cafe helped him during his recovery, and now he works there, paying it forward. This cafe is part of SerenityStar, a 501(c)(3) organization that provides a safe, sober, and spiritual environment for individuals and families recovering from addiction. 100% of the proceeds go directly to their program, which helps so many people on their path to recovery. I highly recommend checking out their mission online. This place is truly making a difference!

My family and I went to the breakfast for dinner event at comfort Café. We were very impressed with the food. It was delicious and looked just like the photographs from Facebook. We went with a large party of 10. They sat us down right away, and our food came out very fast. I spoke with the manager ahead of time about my nut allergies and pancakes. They were so kind and cooked me delicious chocolate chip pancakes on a grill that nuts had not came into contact with. I have not eaten big and fluffy pancakes in years because most places cannot accommodate my nut allergy. Everyone was super sweet and I really hope they do the dinner for breakfast event again soon.

This is our favorite breakfast place in San Antonio. Anytime we have a visitor we take them here. It is such a good cause and it is amazing to see all the programs they have for everyone who works here. The servers are also so friendly. Make sure to bring cash since it is a donation based cash only place. There are no set prices on the meals. I got the pancake flight and had to share since it was so much food. They have massive portions here and you will never leave hungry or unhappy.

Wow!! Had no expectations going in. Just knew it was a place that supported folks going through recovery so thought we'd try it. The food was DELICIOUS and it felt great to give to a good cause. Cash only. Recommended donation is $15/ plate - tips are separate.

Always on point no matter what you order! Today, I had lobster crepe, and it is just fantastic! Big chunks of lobster in a tasty cream sauce that absolutely complimented the lobster. This was such a great tasty treat, and for the price, you can't beat it. This was a daily special, which will be available all weekend. The fruit was perfect after the lobster. Service is always awesome, and Austin, in the kitchen, cooks up some great stuff, and the plating is eye-catching! Just when you think it can't get any better, they ask about dessert and come up with homemade peach pie, with peaches from Fredericksburg! OMG, it's no wonder this place has a waitlist every weekend, and sometimes you can't even get in because they are waitlisted for the day! Love it. Thanks Teresa, JC and all the others that pour their heart into this place!

Hours before the family reunion in San Antonio, we wanted to have some breakfast. Yelp found Comfort Cafe for us. We got there right when they opened which I quickly learned was a great decision as the place filled up fast! The vibe inside had a lot going on, but it was accepting of all walks in life. I can get with it. I wanted some pancakes, and thankfully this place allows you to choose from multiple options. I thought brown sugar pecan pancakes sounded delicious, so I ordered that with some potatoes. My partner got churro stuffed French toast. When I tell y'all those pancakes are some of the BEST I've ever had, I swear I am not exaggerating! They were so soft and cooked perfectly! Just a little bit of syrup perfected the taste. The pancakes were big, so I would order 2 if you don't eat a lot (or get 3 if you are starving). The churro stuffed French toast was just as good (also some of the best French toast ever), and I would have been fine with either entree (or even splitting them down the middle)! The only thing I didn't care for were the potatoes. I asked for them to be cooked well done, but I assumed they would be fried. That was my mistake. Just as an FYI, this is a donation-based place with no set prices, but you must pay at least $15 per entree (very reasonable IMO). They are also cash only but there's an ATM if you don't have cash. If Dallas had a place with equally good pancakes, I would regain all the weight I lost over the last year! When I come back to San Antonio, I will definitely be returning here to have breakfast!
